Introduction on Moonlight

As I mentioned in my introductory post, I write novels. I’ve written three complete novels. Two were writing during Nanowrimo.

“Trapped” (Yes I realize I come up with cheesy titles) was the first novel I completed and “Al Kajoojah” is the 2nd Nanowrimo novel that I was able to finish.

The third novel is  the one that I am most proud of, I spent nearly 1 year and a half working on it

That novel is temporarily titled “Moonlight”

(The title will defiantly change)

I’ve started writing Moonlight on the 1st of April 2011 and was able to finish the first draft on the 20th of October 2012.

Moonlight is a Regency Romance novel, which is a genre that falls under the Historical romance genre. It is set 1818 England

Hint hint: I switched a cliché that is often used in historical romance books, or even romance in general

And that it is inspired by one of my favorite classical novels, I took the idea and switched it up a bit (it’s not Jane Austen I can assure you =p)

That’s all I’m saying for now

I know it must be strange, for me to write in that era and in that timeline but the thing is, I love Regency Era. It is the time of the London Season, courtship, love, scandals and of course, the time of Jane Austen. Jane Austen is my favorite author and reading her books made me fall in love with Regency England

Not to mention, my favorite author (who is alive) is Julia Quinn and I positively adore her to death! She inspired me to start writing

I believe I might faint if I met her one day

But anyway I’m getting a bit sidetracked

Moonlight is a novel I’m very passionate about and I’m hoping that it would be my debut novel

I’m currently editing it at the moment and my aim is to get it done and start querying literary agents

I’ll be updating you guys on the progress soon

Until next time

I’m stoked! I love that you’re following your passion rather than doing the obvious or even worse, being unique just for the sake of being unique!
    I can’t wait!
P.S Don’t be creeped out by my exclamation points, I am loaded on caffeine at the moment!

      Hi Khadija
No I haven’t published either two. They both need a lot of work.. I think I’m going to have to re-write Al Khajoojah if I want to get it published
Trapped is a little better but I do think It needs a bit more editing
perhaps in the future. Right now, My focus is on moonlight
but thank you so much for wanting to read them ^.^ I do appreciate the support
